From anchoring approval perspective, chemical anchors are particularly tested and approved to embedment depth of 20 db (diameter of the threaded rod).
Hence, if the design is to be done in accordance with SA TS 101/AS 5216, then a M20 threaded rod would have a maximum embedment depth of 400 mm.
Hilti version of commercial threaded rod is called HIT-V, which comes with different sizes, corrosion protection coating and steel strength.
