Can mechanical anchors be used in water filled holes?

Thank you for your question.

Correct installation of mechanical anchors require the water to be blown out of the hole and adequate cleaning of the hole.

Special consideration should be given to the corrosion resistance properties of the metal components. Anchors exposed to moisture generally require corrosion protection, such as being Hot Dip Galvanised, or may require the use of stainless steel alloys such as A4 (SS316).

Fastening applications which require the anchors to be submerged would need to be analysed on a case by case basis.
