Can chemical anchors be used in overhead applications?

Hi guys, Just wondering if you have designed using a chemical anchor in an overhead application? I need to achieve a heavy load and expansion anchors or undercut anchors don't seem to be working.

Chemical anchoring systems can be used in overhead applications if the chemical system has an ETA that states “Overhead installation is admissible” in the “Specifications of intended use” section under installation. Refer to ETA 12/0084, Page 11 for HY200R for an example.

In this case, the overhead connection can be designed in accordance with SA TS 101/AS 5216. The combined pull-out and concrete cone failure for post-installed chemical fasteners includes the effect of sustain load acting on the connection. Sustain loading factor calculation is included in Profis anchor design software. Sustained load factor is introduced by SA TS 101/AS 5216 to control the creep of the chemical and keep the anchoring on conservative side.
