Can a capsule anchor be used for underside of concrete beam?
I need to attached a plate to concrete on the underside of a concrete beam. I was looking at the HVU2 capsules on the hilti.com.au website - M12 size. Two questions:
- Are these capsules okay to use when being installed overhead?
- Can they be loaded straight away or is there a waiting time?

Hi Rob,
The HVU2 can definitely be used overhead! It has approvals for cracked concrete and its arrow shape design helps keep the capsule in without falling out of the hole.
In terms of putting a load on the product, it can't be done straight away but it is almost close enough, the product cures super fast and in standard temperature will fully cure in just 5 minutes so isn't too far off loading instantly.
