A corrosion related question
I am anchoring a stainless steel baseplate into concrete, can I use HDG thread rods?

Hi,
There will be electrochemical incompatibility present due to difference in nobility of the metals. Stainless Steel will have a Larger surface area (baseplate) as compared to the lesser surface area of the Hot Dip galvanized threaded rods, thus, there is a high probability of heavy corrosion of the threaded rods. We recommend using stainless steel threaded rods only.
