We suggest chemical anchor with Hilti HY170 (link) or HY270 (link) adhesive in Hilti Sieve Sleeve. Hilti sieve sleeve (HIT-SC) is a perforated tube, specially designed for the viscosity of HY170 and HY270; which are our high-end chemical anchoring solution for masonry. With HIT-SC, keying effect will form in the cavity as shown in the picture below (Masonry keying.jpg).
Sieve sleeve should be installed from the bottom of the drilled hole and should cover the cavity. For example, to have 50mm embedment in the rear wall beyond 30mm cavity, single sleeve (85mm) would be adequate as shown in the picture below (cavity wall.jpg):
HIT-SC requires a larger diameter of the hole for each rod size than standard, it’s shown in ETA approval document (Link). For the pull-out capacity and further installation details, please refer to ETA document from the above link as well.
