Anchors on edge of concrete step-down or rebate

I'm wondering if it is possible to model in changes in the base material (concrete) for things such as step-downs or rebates? For example, a steel column on a brick-veneer edge beam. I'm not sure what the best way to input this would be?

Hello Al,

Thank you for reaching out to Hilti.

Just so that I understand your application correctly, essentially you are connecting into two different surfaces of different base material thickness with the help of rebate brackets as attached in the image below. If that’s not the scenario, please clarify.

However, if that is the scenario, we cannot modify base material for such scenarios in Profis Engineering, as it only considers flat concrete. You can add in various edge distances and modify the concrete thickness as per the anchor placement. Separate designs need to be done for individual 2 plates and concrete edges as per the 2 surfaces.

Hope this helps

kind regards
